I am trying really hard to post some pics and it won't let me move them in the order I want. I'm sure there is a secret but I don't know it. Can anyone help please.
What version of the editor are you using? If you're not using the "Updated editor" (you're using the "Old editor") you'll have to upload all the pics in the order you want (maybe backwards, as each adds to the top - I don't remember exactly) and then add text between. They can't be moved around once they're in.
To find out and change:
Go to the "Dashboard" function of your blog. It will be a page with tabs across the top for "Posting", "Design", "Settings", and "Monetize".
Pick the "Design" tab.
Scroll down to the bottom.
Second up from the bottom of bolded options is "Select post editor".
Click on the dot in front of "Updated editor". Just to the right of the "Select post editor" heading.
Click on "Save settings". Very bottom.
Lately my pictures have been adding at the top of the post, but you can click and drag them to where you want them to go. I add as I go along, so I just drag them to the bottom of the page (which you can't always see, but if you keep the mouse button down as you drag past the bottom of the typing box, it will continue to go down to the bottom, even if you can't see it).
I hope that helps! If not, the "Help" button up at the top has helped me a lot of times. Or maybe there is someone else out there with more experience and surely more expertise than me. I just push buttons until things work or I get frustrated and give up!
In the event Katie's suggestion doesn't work for you, just know that you are not the only one who struggles with adding pictures! I have found the easiest way for me is to type my story, and as I come to the end of a sentence mentioning the quilt or whatever, at that point (end of sentence), I insert that one picture. Then I click either right, left, or center and the size. Usually as I add more to my story, my typing wraps around that picture.
If I want to add another picture, I start a new paragraph, and at the end of another sentence, I add the next picture, and go through the same process.
I may use the preview several times, but even that doesn't always show how the real thing will appear. After I've posted it, I look at the new blog immediately, and if I don't like how it looks, I go back to my blogs listing, and "edit" again until I get it the way I want it.
I know I sound like a Simple Simon, but it works for me most of the time anyway. Hope it helps you. ---"Love"
I have been happily married to my second husband for nearly 30 years and have one son and three stepchildren, two granddaughters. I have been quilting for approx. 6 years and have been counted cross stitching for as long as I can remember. I love to sew, although I tell everyone that I sew straight really well. I live 55 minutes southwest of Chicago. I am an avid football fan, the Bears.

Thanks Katie, I will try it.
